Prosthetics

You may perform all prosthetic procedures in our clinic. We offer both fixed prostheses, which do not need to be taken out from the mouth for the whole period of using them, as well as mobile prostheses. Fixed prostheses may be provided in form of prosthetic crowns, implants and veneers, while mobile prostheses may be offered in four variants: skeleton prostheses with precise connectors, traditional skeleton, tissue-borne and complete prostheses.

1. Fixed prostheses

  1. prosthetic crowns (covering the tooth, protecting and strengthening its structure):
    • on the basis of metal (Au or CrCo) – they bend the light within their structure in a slightly different manner, and in changed light conditions they show slight differences compared to natural teeth,
    • without metal (Empress, Lava, InCeram Zirconia, Procera, Cercon, InCeram Alumina) - the most cosmetic, however, with considerably smaller mechanical resistance;
  2. prosthetic bridges (they aim to fill the lost teeth, they are combined of crowns connected with each other, and the element substituting the lacking teeth is hanged on these crowns):
    • on the basis of metal (Au lub CrCo) - they bend the light within their structure in a slightly different manner, and in changed light conditions they show slight differences compared to natural teeth,
    • without metal (Empress, Lava, InCeram Zirconia, Procera, Cercon, InCeram Alumina) - the most cosmetic, however, with considerably smaller mechanical resistance;
  3. implants, impressions, veneers – elements made of gold or porcelain, which only substitute the lost tooth tissue fragments.

2. Mobile prostheses

  1. skeleton prostheses with precise connectors (latches, bars, locks and bolts) – they shift the chewing forces with the help of maintained teeth and mucous membrane. They require a simultaneous use of crowns, however, they have no visible metal elements. They ensure the best stability within their group, hence they are most comfortable from among mobile prostheses (CEKA & Preci - Line (Belgium), MK1 (Germany), ZL (Germany), Microtec TK1 (Germany), BREDENT (Germany)).
  2. traditional skeleton prostheses – in this case elements bearing the prosthesis are metal casted in form of clasps, thorns and claws located on visible tooth surface. Skeleton prostheses made of acetal, material resembling natural teeth colour, stand as a certain alternative,
  3. tissue-borne prostheses – elements bearing prosthesis, which are made of a wire placed in the plate of prosthesis, lack of supporting elements, made due to economic reasons, as they are fully refunded by NHF (once every 5 years),
  4. complete prostheses – they are a certain type of tissue-borne prostheses, however, only adhesion and cohesion forces, created when the prosthesis contacts the mucous membrane and during muscle tension, are responsible for their maintenance, they are also fully refunded by NHF (once every 5 years).
